Hello readers! I didn’t post last week like I’d intended, because I’ve been on an inspiration spree. I’ve written nearly 10,000 words of a fantasy I started two days ago, and I can’t seem to stop!

Anyhow, I’m not sure about your thoughts on hunting, but my family is a hunting family. We don’t harvest animals for sport, but for their meat and fur. I just thought I’d share some exciting news (it’s exciting for me, at least).

I shot my first deer yesterday around three a clock, a beautiful button buck. He’s been skinned and my parents already have the meat in the freezer, ready to be used. Even though he doesn’t have a rack (antlers over three inches, for those of you who don’t know) I’m going to have his head mounted so I can always look at it and remember getting my first deer.
